La gente se forma en orden, no le importa esperar,
pero a la vez, puede ser muy irreverente y crítica. Y al-
gunas de las caricaturas que vemos en los periódicos
son muy, muy filosas, muy directas, no se tiene mi-
sericordia con las figuras públicas... Pero la sociedad
tiende a ser muy respetuosa con la Reina.
Engeneral se consideraque lospolíticos sonelegidos
democráticamente por el pueblo y que, en consecuencia,
deben responderle a la gente y se pueden hacer bromas
de ellos, satirizarlos. Ha sido una larga tradición en Gran
Bretaña desde el siglo XVIII, la sátira política, burlarse de
los líderes políticos. Y no hemos hablado, pero obvia-
mente una de las emociones a nivel cultural es la Fiesta.
En Londres podemos ir a los juegos, que son fiestas de lo
mejor... Enmuchas no podemos conseguir reservación el
mismo día. Siempre, como precaución, trata de reservar
en cuanto llegues a Londres. Pero si es una Fiesta nacio-
nal, tenemos grandes fiestas con presentaciones casi
todos los días, en la mañana y en la tarde.
Están en la parte oeste de Londres, que es un área
grande que marca la parte central. Hay muchas fies-
tas: de vanguardia, tradicionales, el teatro Royal Opera
House, el Coliseo, el teatro Sadler’s Wells,... siempre
está pasando algo. Y como dije: si un visitante llega
súbitamente a Londres, tiene buenas posibilidades de
entrar al teatro o puede formarse en la taquilla, por-
que siempre el público es muy dinámico, se pueden
desocupar asientos. Es lo que yo hago cuando regreso
a Londres, todos los días trato de ver si hay asientos y
casi siempre tengo suerte.
