manada, y al pasar por un camino enlodado Jabulani se
quedó atascado en el lodo. Su madre y la manada trata-
ron de sacarlo, empujándolo, pero desesperados, con la
mirada baja, lo tuvieron que abandonar. Así, Jabulani fue
rescatado por un hombre y se crió en la reserva. Es un
elefantito consentido, que siempre quiere andar al fren-
te de la manada y entiende 80 palabras. Montados en
estos soberbios animales atravesamos el “bush”, duran-
te la noche, mientras observábamos a las gacelas y oía-
mos los rugidos de los leones.
Reserva Kapama
En esa reserva creada por Lente Roode, visitamos el cen-
tro de rehabilitación para las especies en peligro, donde
se estudian guepardos y perros salvajes, principalmente,
y es posible observarlos de cerca. Ahí pudimos acariciar
a unos guepardos, majestuoso animal. Así pasamos los
tres fabulosos días, observando a los animales salvajes
y conviviendo con algunos de ellos. Y uno de nuestros

observing gazelles and hearing the roar of the lions.
Kapama Reserve
In this reserve, created by Lente Roode, we visited a
rehabilitation center for species that are in danger of
extinction, where they mainly study cheetahs and
wild dogs and where you can see them close up. We
were able to pet the magnificent cheetahs. We spent
three fabulous days there observing the wild animals
and living amongst some of them. The highlight of
