private foundation that
supports American
knowledge and art.
Su estrategia fue ir comprando y eliminando
a uno por uno de los competidores, con favora-
bles o desafortunados tratos según fuera el caso,
esta compañía sería el bastión fundamental de
desarrollo y el eje de lo que se conocería como el
imperio, al finalizar esta maniobra económica la
Standard Oil manejaba el 90% de todo el mercado
norteamericano y Rockefeller, a sus 33 años, era
la persona más rica del país. Diez años más tarde
creó la holding de inversiones:
Standard Oil Trust
,
que manejaba inversiones en distintas ramas de
la industria y se extendía por todo el mundo. Con
esta medida lograba evitar ser acusado de mono-
polio por el gobierno que comenzaba a hostigarlo
por sus prácticas y abogaba por la libre competen-
cia. No tardó mucho en que el caso fuera llevado al
Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Ohio que declaró el
Trust como monopolio ilegal, dando como resulta-
do, la desmembración total del grupo, completa-
mente disuelta en 1911.
Al final de sus días poseía el 1.53 % del Pro-
ducto Interno Bruto (PIB) de los Estados Unidos
de Norteamérica.
Ir más allá fue tan sólo el principio de una historia
que aún continua en sus herederos y en la influencia
de todos los experimentados y novatos empresarios
que sueñan lograr la riqueza que hasta el día de hoy
no ha podido ser igualada.

t last much in that the case
was brought to the Superior Court of Ohio justice
which declared the Trust as an illegal monopoly,
giving as a result, the total disintegration of the
group, completely dissolved in 1911.
At the end of his days he had the 1.53% of the
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the United States
of North American.
Goes beyond was just the beginning of a histo-
ry that still continues in his heirs and the influence
of all the experienced and novice entrepreneurs
who dream of achieving wealth which until today
has not been able to be matched
