Bali
Cruzando el estrecho alcanzamos el puerto de Benoa en
Bali donde dejamos el yate por 6 días. Bali se saborea
disfrutando los sabores de la isla soñada por los dio-
ses, mezcla de colores, música, bailes, paisajes creando
la fantasía perfecta. Bali, la hindú, es un oasis de paz
e imperecedera belleza, su encanto nos envuelve por
magia en medio de la vegetación tropical que mezcla
el verde claro de los arrozales con los templos poblados
de dioses de piedra cubiertos de musgo, con la gente
y el clima caliente. Bali invita a meditar y relajarse, se
saborea, deleita los ojos, el paladar, el oído, mientras el
cuerpo vive al ritmo de la lujuria de la naturaleza.
El capitán Cornelis de Houtman fue el primer euro-
peo en llegar a la isla en 1597 y regresó a Holanda con
la mitad de sus hombres, la otra mitad nunca se quiso
ir. Famosa desde los años treinta gracias a un grupo de
artistas, Bali es el tesoro al final del arco iris, un cuento
mágico con senderos armoniosos.
Nos instalamos primero en el hotel Four Seasons
Jimbaran Bay localizado en la playa con sus sofistica-
das villas balinesas con alberca personal y una vis-
ta soberbia. Sus restaurantes, su Spa y sus jardines
crean un nido idílico inmerso en un ambiente espi-
ritual y místico. Luego nos alojamos en el Four Sea-
sons Sayan, situado en medio de una barranca donde
corre el río sagrado Ayung, cerca de Ubud, sorpren-
dente por su arquitectura. La entrada se hace por el
techo donde se diseñó un estanque con nenúfares,
ideal para meditar al atardecer, volando como si fue-
se el paraíso. Sus villas con alberca, su Spa, su exóti-
ca cocina, su alberca junto al río forman un conjunto
digno de alojar a los dioses y maravilloso para crear
un ambiente exótico y romántico.

Crossing the narrow, we reached the port of Benoa
in Bali where we left the yacht for 6 days. Bali is
enjoyed tasting the flavors of the dream island of
the gods, a mixture of colors, music, dancing, cre-
ating fantasy landscapes perfect. Bali, the Hindu,
is an oasis of peace and everlasting beauty, charm
and magic surrounds us in the midst of tropical
vegetation that blends the bright green rice fields
populated with the temples of gods of stone cov-
ered with moss, with people and hot weather. Bali
invites you to meditate and relax, taste, delight
your eyes, mouth, ears, while the body vibes to the
rhythm of nature’s lust.
Captain Cornelis de Houtman was the first Eu-
ropean to reach the island in 1597 and returned to
Holland with half of his men, since the other half
never wanted to leave. Famous since the thirties by
a group of artists, Bali is the treasure at the end of
the rainbow, a magical tale with harmonious trails.
We settled first in the Four Seasons Jimbaran
Bay hotel located on the beach with its sophisti-
cated Balinese villas with pool staff and a superb
view. The restaurants, spa and gardens create an
idyllic nest immersed in a spiritual and mysti-
cal. Then we stayed at the Sayan, located in the
middle of a canyon where the sacred Ayung River
runs near Ubud, remarkable for its architecture.
The entrance is through the roof where he de-
signed a water lily pond, ideal for meditation at
sunset, flying as if it was paradise. The villas with
pool, spa, exotic cuisine, riverside pool are a de-
cent set of house and wonderful gods to create an
exotic and romantic.
