Conciencia ecológica
El respeto por el medio ambiente es una de las
prioridades en el corazón de los Tres Valles. Gracias a
generosas inversiones recientes, Courchevel se con-
virtió en un lugar a la vanguardia de la tecnología y
la filosofía de la conciencia ecológica. El distrito en su
totalidad se apega a los lineamientos nacionales de
desarrollo sustentable. La iniciativa incluye diferentes
áreas del medio ambiente: hábitat, tratamiento de
agua y manejo de desperdicios, así como el transporte
y las actividades turísticas. En colaboración con otras
instituciones, Courchevel es el primer resort francés
que ha introducido un sistema de conteo y monitoreo
de emisiones dentro del distrito local.
El resort ha instalado también máquinas para pro-
ducir nieve artificial que no contiene aditivos, sólo agua
y aire. De estamanera, cuando la nieve se derrite, se con-
vierte en líquido, como la nieve natural. Recientemente
se instalaron 50 máquinas nuevas para producir nieve,
localizadas en
Combe de la Saulire
, que utilizarán menos
agua ymenos energía para ser más ecológicas.
El Valle cuenta con su propia planta purificadora de
agua. Aquí se tratan aguas residuales de 65 mil perso-
nas. Además de agua, la planta podrá tratar otros pro-
ductos de desecho, como el aceite de los restaurantes,
desechos de los productores de queso, etcétera.
Además, el resort cuenta con numerosas facilidades
para colectar y disponer adecuadamente de las colillas
de cigarro, para asegurarse de que cuando la nieve se
derrite no lleve consigo desperdicios como éste.
Ecologic Conscience
Respecting the environment is one of the priori-
tiesintheheartoftheThreeValleys.Thankstorecent
and generous investments, Courchevel has become
a place with top of the line technology and philoso-
phy in ecologic conscience. The district is ruled in
its totality by the national guidelines of sustain-
able development. The initiative includes different
areas of the environment: habitat, water treatment
and waste handling, as well as the transport for all
tourist activities. In collaboration with other insti-
tutions, Courchevel is thefirst French resort introdu-
cing an emission counting and monitoring system
within the local district.
The resort has also installed artificial snow ma-
chines without additives, just air and water. This
way, when the snow melts it becomes liquid, just
like natural snow. Recently, 50 new snow machines
were installed, located in Combe de la Saurie, using
less water and less energy to become more ecologic.
The Valley has its own water purifying plant.
Here the residual water of over 65 thousandpeople is
treated. Besides water, this plant can also treat other
waste products, like the oil from the restaurants, the
waste from all the cheese productions, etcetera.
Also this resort has numerous facilities for the
proper disposal of cigarette butts, to make sure
that when the snow melts it doesn’t carry this
kind of waste in it.
