ra un poco complicado descifrar a ciencia cier-
ta que hacía en Beirut, después de todo, había
llegado a la capital del Líbano. Me quede inmóvil
por un segundo mientras llegábamos a la avenida Pro-
fessor Wafic Sinno y ahí, en ese segundo, cuando abría
la puerta demi taxi y observaba la hermosa fachada del
Hotel Four Seasons comprendí que estaba aqu
í…
¡En
esta ciudad! Fundada por los fenicios en el siglo XV A.C.,
la urbe adyacente al mar de Beirut vive con placer, un
intenso ritmo de vida nocturno, moderna haute cuisi-
ne, y gente tan amable y vanguardista, que me quede
impresionada. Rápidamente salió el chico para tomar
mis maletas y yo fui tras él, para lo que creí sería un
check in convencional. El equipo de concierge del Four
Seasons en Líbano está compuesto por cinco personas,
todas locales, que resultan más que eficientes al mo-
mento de cumplir los deseos de quien sea que tenga la
suerte de hospedarse en este lujoso hotel.
Pero no lo tomen de mi palabra; el gerente general
del establecimiento, Stefan Simoviks, le hace justicia
al resultado que da este quinteto: “nuestro equipo de
concierges no sólo entiende la escena libanesa, forma
parte de ella”.
“Desde los restaurantes más trendies a los mejo-
res clubes nocturnos, tiendas chics o los boletos para los
shows culturalesmásemocionantes, si son recomendados
por nuestros concierges, serán un éxito seguro”. Más que
hacerme sentir bienvenida me hicieron sentir como en
casa, caminaba por el inmenso lobby de piso de mármol,
lleno de luz para llegar a la suite en la queme quedaría.

t was difficult to decipher what I was doing in
Beirut, after all, had come to the capital of Leba-
non. I froze for a second as we reached Professor
Wafic Sinno Avenue and there, at that moment, as I
opened the door of my taxi and watched the beauti-
ful facade of the Hotel Four Seasons realized I was
here ...in this city! Founded by the Phoenicians in
the fifteenth century B.C. the city of Beirut lies close
to the sea, it lives with pleasure, a night hectic pace
of life, modern haute cuisine, and people so friendly
and progressive that it left me impressed. The man
who collected my bags approached quickly and I
went after him for what I thought would be a con-
ventional check in. The concierge team at the Four
Seasons in Lebanon is composed of five people, all
locals, who aremore than efficient at the time to ful-
fill the wishes of whoever is lucky enough to stay at
this luxurious hotel.
But do not take my word, the general manager
of the establishment, Stefan Simoviks makes jus-
tice to the result given by this quintet “our con-
cierge team not only understands the Lebanese
scene, it is a part of it”.
“From the trendiest restaurants to the best
nightclubs, chic shops or tickets to the most excit-
ing cultural shows, if recommended by our concierge
team, it will be a success”. Rather than making me
feel welcome they made me feel at home, I began to
walk through the hugemarble lobbyfloor full of light
to reach the suite inwhich I would be staying.
