• The climate is Mediterranean, warm and humid
in summer and mild and rainy winters. The hu-

• El clima es mediterráneo, cálido y húmedo en verano,
y suave y lluvioso en invierno. La humedad durante el
verano junto a la costa es muy alta, con temperaturas
medias que oscilan en torno a los 30°C. Durante el in-
vierno las temperaturas medias oscilan en torno a los
15°C. En lasmontañas, durante el estío la temperatura
es algomásmoderada a lo largo del día, pero por la no-
che refresca. El invierno es frío, es fácil encontrar nieve
por encima de los 1.300 metros de altitud. La mejor
época para recorrer el país es de abril a junio y también
durante el mes de septiembre, ya que la climatología
semuestramás propicia para realizar las visitas ymo-
verse por el país.
• Desde la escuela enseñan a hablar tres idiomas: árabe,
inglés y francés como tercera alternativa, aunque en
varios sitios se maneja muy bien el español.
• Si desea conocer el Líbano debe considerar las si-
guientes vacunas:

Fiebre Amarilla (si se procede de
un país endémico).

• De diciembre a febrero es conveniente vestir ropa de
abrigo; una vez entrada la primavera, con ropa lige-
ra es suficiente, al igual que en verano. Líbano es un
país especial y siempre muy influenciado por Occi-
dente. A la hora de vestirse, se puede ir como quiera,
sobre todo en Beirut. No obstante, hay que ser cui-
dadosos con nuestra indumentaria dependiendo de
dónde se vaya, por ejemplo, en zonas musulmanas
más conservadoras, y también si queremos visitar
lugares sagrados tanto mezquitas como iglesias.
