la Torre de Londres, encontramos el Centro O2 en el Mi-
lleniumDome, el Parque Olímpico y el Paseo Canary, lle-
no de edificios diferentes, galerías de arte, cafeterías,
tiendas y gente muy agradable caminando; el Parque
Olímpico está abierto a los visitantes con muchísimos
lugares que se pueden disfrutar y pasar el tiempo.
Con el propósito de afectar lo menos posible al en-
torno histórico y ecológico, y a la vez aprovechar las
construcciones, todas las instalaciones que se erigieron
con motivo de las Olimpiadas de Londres 2012 se conci-
bieron como elementos que trascendieron su propósito
puramente deportivo para aprovecharlos posteriormen-
te, gracias a la planeación estratégica a futuro, para usos
que beneficiarán a la comunidad durante largo tiempo.
Así, mediante pequeñas demoliciones al Par-
que Olímpico, ahora es un auditorio con capacidad
para 25,000 espectadores, en vez de los 80,000 ori-
ginales; el Velódromo es un circuito que acomoda
a 2,500 asistentes, en vez de los 17,500 durante
los juegos; la Villa Olímpica, donde se hospedaron
17,000 atletas, es un conjunto habitacional para
4,000 familias; y el Parque Olímpico es ahora un pul-
món más de Londres, rival en belleza y tamaño con
el mítico Hyde Park.

young London. If we go a little further than the
Tower of London, you will find the O2 Centre in the
Millennium Dome, the Olympic Park and the Ca-
nary Walk, full of different buildings, art galleries,
cafes, shops and nice people walking. The Olympic
Park is open to visitors with many places they can
enjoy and spend time at.
In order to affect the least possible the histori-
cal and ecological environment, and also take ad-
vantage of the buildings, all the facilities that were
built for the 2012 London Olympics, were con-
ceived as elements that would transcend its pure-
ly sporting purpose, to be used later on, thanks to
strategic planning for the future, they will be used
to benefit the community for a long time.
Thus, through small demolitions to the Olym-
pic Park, it is now an auditorium with a capacity
for 25,000 spectators, as opposed as the original
80,000. The Velodrome is a circuit that accommo-
dates 2,500 attendees, instead of 17,500 during the
Games. At the Olympic Village where 17,000 ath-
letes stayed, is now a housing complex for 4,000
families, and the Olympic Park is now a wonderful
green area over London, a rival in beauty and size
with the legendary Hyde Park .
