brica que fue completamente renovada a un estándar
realmente muy, muy elevado.
Pero otra área a donde debe ir la gente es al London
Bridge. Ya sabemos que se está construyendo -o ya se
terminó de construir, creo que ya abrió- el Shard, el edi-
ficio más alto de Europa. Pienso que es un edificio muy
distintivo, un edificio alto con forma de punta. Refleja la
luz, porque vemos el atardecer sobre el Támesis.
El London Bridge está pleno de historia, se puede
visitar en grupo y recorrer el nacimiento y la vida del
escritor Charles Dickens. Y muchos de los edificios
medievales del siglo XIX aún existen, justo detrás y le-
jos de las arterias principales. Hay una buena cantidad
de restaurantes y hotelitos interesantes junto al río,
que conducen al corazón de Londres.

There are beautiful hotels in Park Lane, like the
Duchess Hotel, very traditional and with a wonder-
ful view of the Royal Park, and I think we need to
mention The Boundary Hotel, from a hotel chain,
built on what was a craft industrial factory which
was completely renovated to a standard really, re-
ally high.
Another area where people should go is the Lon-
don Bridge. We know that the Shard is being built
or is already-finished. It is the tallest building in
Europe. I think it is a very distinctive building, tall
with a tip shaped top. It reflects light, when we see
the sunset over the Thames.
The London Bridge is full of history. You can
visit with a group and tour the birth and life of
writer Charles Dickens. Many of the nineteenth-
century medieval buildings still exist, just behind
and away from the main arteries. There are a lot of
interesting restaurants and small hotels along the
river, leading to the heart of London.
