investigación, la comunicación e intercambio biocul-
tural entre oriente y occidente. Enprincipio, su impe-
rio era territorio de convivencia de varias religiones,
cohabitaron budistas, cristianos y musulmanes. Su
acervo cultural es hasta ahora extraordinario, por la
diversidad e integración del espíritu multicultural.
Es la historia de Marco Polo, canal de comunicación
entre occidente con el oriente. El espagueti chino
es plato tradicional italiano, de esta integración
intercultural hablamos: renacentista, creativa,
constructiva y humanista. En Singapur cohabitan
chinos de distintas etnias, malayos, hindúes e in-
gleses. Las lenguas oficiales del país son cuatro:
inglés, chino, malayo (lengua nacional) y tamil. Es
diversidad cultural, fundada en la comprensión, la
tolerancia con conciencia religiosa, no sólo de las
más antiguas creencias sino de la libertad absolu-
ta de credos, que enseña otras formas posibles de
convivencia, que ahora abordan las literatas, los
artistas plásticos.

together Chinese from different ethnic groups, Ma-
layan, Hindi and British. The official languages of the
country are four, English, Chinese, Malay (the national
language) andTamil. It is cultural diversity, foundedon
understanding, the tolerancewith religious conscious-
ness not just of the oldest beliefs but the absolute free-

that now is approached by the female littérateurs, the
