Posteriormente, entramos en el río Motlawa hasta
llegar a la ciudad de Zielona Brama, la Puerta Verde de
Gdansk. Ésta fue construida en 1560 para ser la resi-
dencia de los reyes y abre sus arcos sobre el Camino
Real donde los reyes polacos desfilaban cuando visita-
ban la ciudad, vigilados por la torre del ayuntamiento.
Dlugli Targ fue el mercado principal y es ahora el lugar
favorito de los turistas. Ahí destacan Zlota Kamieni-
ca; la fuente de Neptuno y Dwór Artusa. El Ayunta-
miento, de estilo gótico y renacentista, con su torre,
la más alta de Gdansk (81.5m), y una estatua dorada
del rey Zygmunt II, hoy Museum Historii Miasta Gdan-
ska (museo de Historia) donde impresionan la puer-
ta barroca con las armas de la ciudad guardadas por
dos leones, sus hermosas salas, especialmente la Sala
Czerwona donde se juntaban los consejeros.
Siguiendo el Camino Real, transitamos entonces
por Ul Dluga, una de las calles más hermosas de Po-
lonia, y tomamos una cerveza en el Celtic Pub. Dis-
frutamos también las tiendas de ámbar y alcanzamos
Zlota Brama (puerta dorada) donde con columnas y
estatuas, y Dwór Bractwa Sw Jerzego. A lado encon-
Afterwards, we entered the Motlawa River until
we reached the city of Zielona Brama, the Green En-
trance of Gdansk. This was built in 1560 in order to
be the residence of the future kings, and it opens its
arches over the Royal Road where the Polish kinds
would parade themselves whilst visiting the city un-
der thewatchful eye of the vigilant tower. Dlugli Targ
was themainmaket, and it is nowa favourite spot for
tourists. There one can admire the Zlota Kamienica;
the fountain of Neptune and Dwór Artusa. The Town
Hall, built in a Gothic and Renaissance style, boasting
the highest tower of Gdansk (81.5m), and a golden
statue of king Zygmunt II, is today the Museum His-
torii Miasta Gdanska, where the impressive baroque
doors with the arms of the city guarded by two li-
ons stand, and it’s the home of the Czerwona Room,
where council members wouldmeet.
Following the Royal Road, we travelled then
through Ul Dluga, one of the most famous streets of
Poland, drinkingbeer at theCelticPub.Wealsoenjoyed
the amber shops and we then reached Zlota Brama
(golden door) and Dwór Bractwa Sw Jerzego. Close by
