tramos Przedbramie o puerta delantera formada por
Katownia (casa de tortura) y Wieza Wizzienna (torre
de la cárcel) que ahora alberga el maravilloso museo
del Ámbar, el “Oro del Báltico”. Descubrimos Brama
Wyzynna, la puerta de tierra construida en 1574, Wie-
lka Zbrojownia (el gran Arsenal) del siglo 17 adornado
con motivos militares, estatuas de soldados y las ar-
mas de la ciudad.
Degustamos la comida polaca típica en Restaurac-
ja Gdalska, que incluyó carnes asadas, col agria, sopas,
salchichas y pato en sabrosas salsas. Caminamos por
Ul Mariacka, la calle más típica de Gdansk, para llegar
a Brama Mariacka (puerta de Santa María) junto al río
donde admiramos Zuraw Gdanski, una grúa medieval
de madera con 2 grandes poleas para descargar barco.
Siguiendo el paseo a lo largo del río, observamos
los elegantes edificios, y reencontramos nuestro ve-
lero para regresar a Sopot y finalizar el día con broche
de oro, cenando en el restaurante Art Deco del Grand
Sopot Sofitel para disfrutar de la excepcional cocina
del chef Leszek Patoka, y gozar de una romántica ve-
lada frente al mar Báltico.

we discovered Przedbramie, or frontal door, formed by
Katownia (torture home) andWiezaWizzienna (prison
tower), which harbours the marvellous museum of
Amber, the “Gold of the Baltic”. We also discovered Bra-
ma Wyzynna, built in 1574, Wielka Zbrojownia, built
in the 17th Century and adorned withmilitary motifs,
statues of soldiers and the crest of the city.
We enjoyed the typical polish food at the Res-
tauracja Gdanska, which included roasted meet,
sour cabbage, soup, sausages and duck with various
sauces. We then walked through Ul Mariacka, the
main street of Gdansk, until we reached BramaMari-
acka (door of SantaMaria) next to the river where we
admired Zuraw Gdanski, a medieval wooden crane
with two large pulleys to unload ships.
We kept on walking next to the river, observ-
ing elegant buildings and we once again found our
sailboat to return to Sopot and conclude our day in
a spectacular manner, dining at the Art Deco restau-
rant Grand Sopot Sofitel to enjoy the exceptional
creations of chef Leszek Patoka and enjoy a roman-
tic evening in front of the Baltic Sea.
