reconoce como la más pura manifesta-
ción del poder divino y de sus represen-
tantes en la Tierra; vale recordar que la
Ciudad del Vaticano, la cual resguarda este patrimonio
universal, es el país más pequeño del mundo. En tan
sólo un espacio de 44 hectáreas alberga algunas de las
obras más importantes de la historia y el arte.
Con apenas 900 habitantes tiene una legua
oficial –el latín–, así como su propia moneda y su
máxima autoridad y jefe de Estado es el sumo pon-
tífice o Papa.

sial artist Michelangelo, which is rec-
ognized as the purest manifestation of
divine power and its representatives on
Earth; worth remembering that the Vati-
can, which protects this universal heritage, is the
smallest country in the world. In just an area of 44
hectares, hosts some of the most important works
of history and art.
With barely 900 inhabitants, it has an official
league –the Latin– as well as its own currency and
its maximum authority and head of state is the Su-
preme Pontiff or Pope.
