Among the main attractions of this area are the
visits to the tribes that live in the mountains,
specially the Muongs, Daos and Kinhs. It is a real
privilege to be able to observe the culture, cus-
toms and handicrafts of this people, who pre-
serve intact a great part of their traditions.
• Hue
Many people say that Hue is the most beautiful
city in Vietnam. Certainly it is about a city not
just beautiful but also full of history. It was the
capital of the country from 1802 to 1945 and it
has protruded for being one of the principal cul-
tural, educative and religious centers. Among its
many attractions there is the well known
Perfume River (Song Huong), named like this for
the aroma that the plentiful lotus flowers of this
area give off. The river divides the city leaving to
the right the new part and at the other side the
old part of town.
The mausoleums, tombs, pagodas and historic
temples in this city turn it into a very attractive
destination.
• Hoi An
The ancient city of Hoi An is located in the cen-
tral coast of the country. It possesses a great his-
toric wealth and a unique character. During the
XVIth and XVIIth was an important port center
at the south of Vietnam. The city has a clear
Chinese aspect with low roofed houses and nar-
row streets.

encuentran las visitas a las tribus que habitan
en las montañas, especialmente los Muongs,
Daos y Kinhs. Es un verdadero privilegio poder
observar la cultura, costumbres y artesanías de
esta gente, quienes conservan intacta gran
parte de sus tradiciones.

Hue
Muchos dicen que Hue es la ciudad más bella de
Vietnam. Ciertamente se trata de una ciudad no
sólo hermosa sino llena de historia. Fue la capi-
tal del país de 1802 a 1945 y se ha destacado
por ser uno de los principales centros cultura-
les, educativos y religiosos. Entre sus muchos
atractivos se encuentra el conocido río Perfume
(Song Huong), llamado así por el aroma que
despiden las abundantes flores de loto en esta
zona. El río divide la ciudad dejando a la derecha
la parte nueva y al otro lado el casco antiguo.
Los mausoleos, tumbas, pagodas y templos
históricos en esta ciudad la convierten en un
destino muy atractivo.

Hoi An
En la costa central del país se encuentra la anti-
gua ciudad de Hoi An. Posee una gran riqueza
histórica y un carácter único. Durante los siglos
XVI y XVII fue un centro portuario importante
del sur de Vietnam. La ciudad tiene un claro
aspecto chino con casas de techo bajo y calles
estrechas.
