su hermoso puerto y la dulzura de la vida dentro
de la muralla.
Insólitos pueblos y Teruel
Dejamos el velero en Peñíscola y visitamos los
pueblos montañeses hasta llegar a Teruel.
Morella, villa amurallada, surge en la sierra,
dominada por su castillo, rodeada por dos kilóme-
tros y medio de altos muros franqueables por seis
puertas colosales. Aldea de leyendas, invita a
admirar sus calles escalonadas, la gótica Iglesia de
Santa María, el Convento de San Francisco, los
soportales y el acueducto medieval.
Mirambel, pacífico caserío postrado en un
valle, conserva su trazo medieval adentro de la
muralla construida en el siglo XIII. Sus casonas de
piedra, la Iglesia de Santa Margarita, sus conven-
tos y ermitas son joyas del Maestrazgo, una mis-
teriosa ventana en el pasado que escucha pasar el
agua por el antiguo lavadero.
Cantavieja, reducto en las guerras carlistas del
siglo XIX, domina la sierra desde lo alto de sumogo-
te terminado por los restos del fuerte. Su armónica
plaza porticada se adorna con el Ayuntamiento de
balcones de hierro forjado y la barroca Iglesia de la
Asunción flanqueada por la torre.
Teruel es la ciudad de leyendas y torres mudé-
jares. El toro es su símbolo, los amantes de Teruel
llenan cada rincón con la historia de su amor

Unusual villages and Teruel
We left the sailboat in Peñiscola and visit the
mountain villages until arriving to Teruel.
Morella, fortified villa, arising in the mountain
range, dominated by its castle, surrounded by two
and a half kilometers of high walls passable by six
colossal doors. Village of legends, invite to admire
its stepped streets, the gothic Church of Saint
Mary, the Convent of Saint Francisco, the porches
and the medieval aqueduct.
Mirambel, peaceful country houses prostrated
in a valley, preserve its medieval line inside the
wall built in the XIII century. Its large stone houses,
the Saint Margaret Church, its convents and her-
mitages are jewels of the Mastership, a mysterious
window in the past that listens to the water passing
through the old washroom.
Cantavieja, redoubt in the Carlist wars of the
XIX th century, dominates the mountain range
from the top of its hillock finished by the remains
of the fort. Its harmonic square with porches deco-
rates with the forged iron balconies, the City Hall
and the baroque Church of the Asunción flanked
by the tower.
