rrival upon Dimitri’s showroom is already
an experience on its own, but if their own-
ers are there, be sure you can scratch that
off your bucket list; Jorge Camil and Christian Carlos
from an excellent team , far beyond the passion for
design , the care up to themost minimumdetail and
assertive selection of each material, cut and color,
becomes minimal when you get meet these two.
Honesty is their insignia brand and perfectionism
their greatest quality. Their work style is very me-
ticulous we could say it is personal.
Howsaid youhad to have a leaving room, themas-
ter bedroom, a diner, the study and a guest room? I
mean…What if you don’t have a life that adapts to the
space you live in?
What they do is pretty incredible, once the res-
toration project has begun; you just have to sit and
talk, yes, run them through your day. This way,
the duo begins to plot in an ingenious way how to
make your house adequate for your lifestyle; after
all, the space we live in is your extension of our
selves, which is their philosophy. For them, this
experience had been a 180° degree turn, Christian
had a successful business based in New York; com-
ing here represented a life adjustment. Mexico and
New York are very different cities, the language,
leaving his friends and the return to a career spiral
in order to create another successful business, are
components that without a doubt made give some-
thing to think of.

cia por sí sola, pero si sus dueños están ahí para
recibirle entonces tenga por seguro que ya puede
morir tranquilo; y es que Jorge Camil y Christian Carlson
forman una mancuerna excelente, mas allá de la pasión
por el diseño, el cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle y la
selección asertiva de cadamaterial, corte y color, se vuel-
ve mínimo cuando llega a conocer a estos dos, la hones-
tidad es su marca insignia y el perfeccionismo su mayor
cualidad. La forma de trabajar es sumamente minuciosa
e inclusive podríamos llegar a decir que es personal.
¿Quién dice que tienes que tener una sala, un
comedor, una recámara principal, un estudio y una
recamara de huéspedes? Es decir
…
¿y si no tienes
una vida que se adapte al especio en el que vives?
Lo que hacen es bastante formidable, pues una
vez iniciado el proyecto de restauración solo tiene que
sentarse y platicar, si, que hace usted en un día cual-
quiera. De este modo, el dúo empieza a maquinar de
forma ingeniosa como adecuar su casa a usted. Por-
que, después de todo, el espacio donde vivimos es una
extensión de nosotros mismos, filosofía por la cual se
rigen. Esta experiencia para ellos ha sido un giro de
180° grados, Christian tenía un exitoso negocio con
base en Nueva York; venir aquí para el, represento una
especie de ajuste de vida. Nueva York y México resul-
tan ser ciudades muy diferentes, el lenguaje, dejar a
sus amigos y volver a esa espiral laboral para poder
crear otro negocio exitoso, son componentes que sin
duda nos da mucho en que pensar.
