Oporto
Oporto es la puerta de entrada y el punto de partida
de un viaje por la diversidad natural y cultural de la
región. Es la ciudad de los seis puentes. Se la cono-
ce por el vino de Oporto, que desde aquí parte hacia
todo el mundo. Esta zona de montañas y parques
naturales, está salpicada de castillos, como el de
Guimarães, o santuarios e iglesias que en verano son
escenario de romerías. En ciudades como Viana do
Castelo, Braga, Lamego, Chaves o Vila Real, encontra-
mos al portugués más auténtico, aquel que le gusta
compartir mesa, costumbres y tradiciones. En Braga,
junto al río Minho, se produce el famoso
vinho
verde,
único en el mundo. Tradicional y cultural, Oporto fue
capital de la cultura europea en 2001, y hoy en día,
una interesante ruta que recorre el río visitando las
fincas vitivinícolas. Sin duda, una aventura de de-
gustación para los amantes del vino.
Pero si sólo dispone de unos pocos días para visi-
tar Oporto, hay lugares que no puede perderse. Esta

the one who enjoys sharing his table, his costumes
and traditions. In Braga, by the Minho River, the fa-
mous green wine (

verde) is produced, which is
unique to the world. Porto is traditional and cultur-
al; it was Europe Capital of the Culture in 2001. And
it gives an interesting route that runs alongside the
river visiting the wine producing farms, a tasting
adventure for wine lovers.
If you have just few days to visit Port, there
are places you cannot miss. This city has some-
thing mythical that can hardly be described and
varies depending on the place, the hour and the
