Golf
Portugal posee excelentes campos -casi 80 en el país-
en escenarios sorprendentes. Con
greens
que tienen
vista al mar, rodeados de acantilados y dunas de arena
blanca, o enmarcados por lagos y montañas, donde
los aromas florales se mezclan entre sí ofreciendo fra-
gancias agradables a los sentidos, por lo que resulta
casi imposible evitar las distracciones que rompen
con la concentración del juego. Los campos de golf
portugueses se consideran los mejores de Europa, es-
pecialmente los del Algarve.
Muchos de estos
greens
fueron diseñados por
arquitectos famosos como Henry Cotton, Rocky
Roquemore o Arnold Palmer, que tienen en común
la integración sutil con la naturaleza que les rodea.
Las Azores ofrecen un golf rústico que se practica en
un ambiente rural. Los inicios de la práctica del golf
vieron su origen en Porto y Norte, y es en Espinho
donde se encuentra el segundo campo más antiguo
de la Europa continental, así como el más antiguo de
la península ibérica, fundado en 1890.

dunes or framed by lakes and mountains, where
the flower scents mix offering lovely fragrances
to the senses; it is almost impossible to avoid
distractions that break the concentration re-
quired by the game. The Portuguese golf fields
are considered the best in Europe, especially
those in Algarve.
Some of these
greens
were designed by famous
architects such as Henry Cotton, Rocky Roque-
more or Arnold Palmer; and have in common
the subtle integration with the nature that sur-
rounds them. The Azores offer a rustic golf that is
practiced in a rural environment. The practice of
Golf has its origins in Port and North region and it
is in Espinho where you can find the second old-
est green in continental Europe and the oldest of
the Iberian Peninsula, and was founded in 1890.
