Lena, la primera tigresa de la zona, tuvo cuatro ca-
chorros que fueron enviados al zoológico de Omaha,
en Estados Unidos, para evitar su muerte, ya que su
madre pereció y sin el cuidado humano estos tendrían
la misma suerte.
Lena fue sustituida por Natasha, a la cual capta-
mos en 1992, la rastreamos hasta 1997. Durante este
tiempo ocupó un área sin caminos.
Otra raya al tigre
En 2010 Natasha tuvo cuatro cachorros, pero uno fue
abatido por un depredador, otro murió después por
causas desconocidas. En julio Natasha murió, pero sus
dos cachorros restantes sobrevivieron.
Antes de que se mudara para asumir el control so-
bre el territorio de Nadia, Natasha utilizaba una zona
sin caminos y tuvo dos camadas, una con dos cacho-
rros y la segunda con tres. Todos sobrevivieron.
María Ivanna dio a luz a cinco cachorros, cuatro de
los cuales se dispersaron. María Ivanna, como Natas-
ha, se mudó a un nuevo territorio que contiene una
carretera principal. Mientras vivían en áreas sin ca-
minos, Natasha y María Ivanna, así como 90% de sus
cachorros, sobrevivieron. Pero se fueron a zonas con
carreteras principales y ambas murieron.

Lena was substituted by Natasha, which we lo-
cated in 1992, and tracked until 1997. During this
time she roamed through an area without roads.
Another stripe on the tiger
In 2010, Natasha had four offspring. One was
disposed by a predator, another died at a later
date of unknown causes. In July, Natasha died;
her two remaining offspring survived.
Before she moved to assume control of Na-
dia’s territory, Natasha roamed an area without
roads, and had two litters, one with two cubs,
and a second with three. All survived.
Maria Ivanna gave birth two five cubs, four
of which dispersed. Maria Ivanna, like Natasha,
moved to a new territory with one highway.
While living in an area without roads, Natasha
and Maria Ivanna, as well as 90% of their cubs,
survived. Once they moved to areas with high-
ways, both died.
