Las fiestas populares constituyen uno de los rasgos
identificatorios más emblemáticos de esta nación,
por ser impregnadas de espontaneidad y originalidad.
Sus rituales constituyen la cultura popular, el lenguaje
del pueblo, todo lo que viene de él y su alma. Son his-
torias, recuerdos y emociones compartidas que unen
hombres en colectividad y los aproxima a su tierra.
Hasta recientemente, muchos creían que el pro-
ceso de globalización implicaría el fin de las expresio-
nes culturales únicas e identificatorias, entre ellas,
las fiestas populares. Sin embargo, es por medio de
mecanismos culturales dinámicos y los medios de co-
municación que las fiestas populares logran mantener
vivos ritmos y estructuras tradicionales. Por un lado, se
apoyan en la propia capacidad para actualizarse cons-
tantemente, incorporando elementos no apenas del
tiempo y del lugar, donde son celebrados, sino también
de otros contextos y matices en el ámbito de la diná-
mica circular de elementos populares. Por otro lado, las
fiestas populares se benefician por la saturación cau-
sada en las manifestaciones del mercado, ofreciendo al
público las marcas propias de una comunidad. De ese
modo, a inicios del siglo XXI, se verifica la pujanza de
las fiestas populares, la cual ocurre de manera paralela,
dentro y al margen de las industrias culturas y células
de la difusión cultural del país en cuestión.

Festivals are one of the most iconic and identify-
ing features of this nation, being impregnated with
spontaneity and originality. The rituals are popular,
the language of the people, all that comes from it
and its soul. These stories of shared memories and
emotions bindmen in communities andmake them
even closer to their land.
Recently, many believed that the process of
globalization ment the end of the unique cul-
tural expressions and indemnificatory, including
popular festivals. However, it is through dynamic
cultural mechanisms and media that festivals
manage to keep alive traditional rhythms and
structures. In one hand, it relies on the ability
to update itself constantly, not just incorporat-
ing elements of the time and place where they
are held, but also from other contexts and nu-
ances in the field of popular elements of dynam-
ics with movement. On the other hand, festivals
benefit and cause the saturation of the market in
the demonstrations, offering the public private
labels of a community. Thus, at the beginning of
the century, it verifies the strength of the festivi-
ties, which occurs parallel, within and outside the
cultural industries and cultural diffusion cells of
the country.
