Flores en Holanda

Los colores llamativos de los bulbos de tulipanes en
flor son un espectáculo típico en Holanda durante la pri-
mavera. Los colores rojos, rosa y amarillo brillantes son
abrumadoramente hermosos y son una visita obligada, o
deberíamos decir, ¡una experienciaobligada! Desdefinales
demarzo hasta la segunda semana demayo, las flores en
los campos de tulipanes florecen. No hace falta decir que
el períodoexactodependedel tiempo. Engeneral, lamejor
época es la segunda quincena de abril, durante esta época
los tulipanesmuestran sus colores gloriosos.
Los campos de bulbos más conocidos se encuen-
tran detrás de las dunas del Mar del Norte, entre las
ciudades de Leiden y Den Helder. Otros campos de tu-
lipanes, se encuentran cerca de Enkhuizen (Bovenkars-
pel, Andijk) y en la provincia de Flevoland (Noordoost
pólder, Oostelijk Flevoland). Se dispone de senderismo,
ciclismo y rutas de coche por parte de las oficinas de
turismo locales en las regiones de campo del bulbo.
Keukenhof es una experiencia inolvidable para gen-
te de todas las edades. El parque histórico con más de
2.700 árboles tiene una superficie de treinta y dos hec-
táreas, repleta de tulipanes, jacintos, narcisos y todos
los otros bulbos de primavera. Los arreglos florales en
el parque y los conciertos singulares de flores en los
diferentes pabellones son una gloriosa fiesta visual. El
Jardín Keukenhof en Lisse se encuentra abierto desde
mediados de marzo hasta mediados de mayo.
Flowers in Holland ...
The striking colors of tulips blooming are a
typical sight in Holland during the spring. The red,
pink and bright yellow are overwhelmingly beau-
tiful and are a must, or should we say, a must ex-
perience! From late March until the second week of
May, the flowers in the fields of tulips bloom. It is
needless to say that the exact period depends on
time. In general, the best moment is the second
half of April, during this time tulips show off their
glorious colors.
The most famous bulb fields are located be-
hind the dunes of the North Sea, between the cit-
ies of Leiden and Den Helder. Other fields of tu-
lips are near Enkhuizen (Bovenkarspel, Andijk)
and in the province of Flevoland (Noordoost pol-
der Flevoland Oostelijk). The bulb field regions
offer hiking, cycling and car routes by the local
tourist offices.
Keukenhof is an unforgettable experience
for people of all ages. The historic park with
more than 2700 trees cover an area of thirty-two
hectares, full of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and
all the other spring bulbs. The floral arrange-
ments in the park and the unique flower shows
in the various pavilions are a visual feast. The
Lisse Keukenhof Garden is open from mid-March
to mid-May.
