The main objective of the tourist who visits must
be to know themonastery of St. Maron and the hermit-
ageofSaintCharbel ,beatifiedin1965andcanonizedin
1989. Many miraculous healings are attributed to him
andhis body remains intact after hisdeath in1898.
In the monastery we visit the tomb of St. Char-
bel, along with relics of his miracles we find clothes
and personal items. There is a small stone church
which opened a shop that sells objects, books and
religious images of this saint. A path to the left
leads to the hermitage where he lived, which climbs
up a stone staircase . Inside the old building are the
cells of the hermits and the room where St. Charbel
died . A small church square is part of the chapel.
Annaya attracts thousands of visitors, in the
area there are good restaurants and places to shop.
The monastery and the hermitage have toilet facili-
ties for tourists, with bedrooms at modest prices.
Two kilometers before Torzaya which is known for
its cave whose entries have an idyllic valley be-
neath the church of Santa Teresa. A mile ahead is a
bridge and a pedestrian path leading to a cave with
many compartments and great stones. In winter
the cave is a channel for the Ibrahim River, whose
waters flows under a natural arch. In summer you
can explore the cave on foot.

El objetivo principal del turista que lo visita es cono-
cer el monasterio de San Marón y la ermita de San Char-
bel, beatificado en 1965 y canonizado en 1989. Muchas
curaciones milagrosas se le atribuyen, y su cuerpo per-
manece intacto después de sumuerte en 1898.
En el monasterio se visita la tumba de San Charbel,
junto con reliquias de sus milagros, ropajes y objetos
personales. Hay una pequeña iglesia de piedra abierta
y una tienda que vende objetos, libros e imágenes re-
ligiosas. Un camino a la izquierda nos lleva a la ermita
donde vivió, a la que se sube por unas escaleras de pie-
dra. Dentro de la antigua construcción están las celdas
de los ermitaños y el cuarto donde San Charbel murió.
Una pequeña iglesia cuadrada es parte de la ermita.
Annaya atrae a miles de visitantes, así que en el
área hay buenos restaurantes y sitios para compras.
El monasterio y la ermita dan facilidades para el aseo
de los turistas, con dormitorios a precios modestos.
Dos kilómetros antes se ubica Torzaya, conocida por su
cueva cuyas entradas dan a un valle idílico bajo la igle-
sia de Santa Teresa. A medio kilómetro hay un puente
y una senda de peatones que conduce a una cueva con
muchos compartimentos y piedras fantásticas. En in-
vierno la cueva es un canal para el Río Ibrahim, cuyas
aguas fluyen hacia fuera bajo un arco natural. En verano
la cueva se puede explorar caminando.
